Loyalist College has announced that Kenneth Jackson, an investigative reporter with the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN), will be honoured as the 2024 recipient of the Hugh P. O’Neil Outstanding Alumni Award.
The award recognizes a Loyalist graduate who has demonstrated outstanding professional leadership or, through volunteer service, has made an exceptional contribution to their community.
Jackson is a 2003 graduate of the Journalism program with the college saying in a release that he is being honoured for his dedication to advocacy and relentless pursuit of the truth through journalism.
“We are honoured to present Kenneth Jackson with the Hugh P. O’Neil Outstanding Alumni Award at this year’s convocation,” says Loyalist College President and CEO Mark Kirkpatrick in the release.
“Mr. Jackson’s determination and ability to leverage his career as a journalist as a means of driving change will inspire our graduates to pursue professional success with positive community impact.”
The award will be presented during Loyalist’s convocation ceremonies.
