Bay of Quinte MP Ryan Williams is hosting his second annual “Community Champion” celebration.
Last year more than 100 people were honoured with specially designed coins at events in Belleville, Quinte West and Prince Edward County.
Area residents are asked to nominate people who they think are deserving by June 16.
MP Williams says last year’s nominees included:
Emiline Harvey, a young girl who, during the Quinte West Community Policing Bicycle Rodeos, generously donated her bike to a friend that did not have one. Since the age of two, she has been donating half of her allowance to charity.
Bob Cottrell. Bob has worked for many years to bring affordable housing to the most vulnerable in our community.
Glen Bird, nominated by his coworkers at Concentrix for “selflessly focusing on a culture of caring and mental wellness” and they wanted to let him know that they appreciated all that he does for his employees as well as the community.
