Two local long-term care homes are joining a prestigious program proven to improve health outcomes for residents and patients in other healthcare organizations.
Both Hastings Manor in Belleville and Hastings Centennial Manor in Bancroft will become members in the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario’s Best Practice Spotlight Organization program.
Starting almost immediately, staff at both homes will implement the program’s clinical best practice guidelines over a three-year period and measure their impact on outcomes.
Staff will be coached by experts with the Registered Nurses’ Association.
The local long-term care homes will join 15 other healthcare organizations at an event in Mississauga Thursday (April 25) welcoming them into the program.
