Quinte News has learned that a plea is set to be made in the case of former CFB and 8 Wing Trenton commander Leif Dahl.
The plea is set to be made on March 21.
Col. Dahl faces charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless storage of a firearm, transporting a firearm or restricted weapon, obstructing a peace officer, careless use of a firearm and hunting birds without a licence.
This comes after a firearms incident on August 25, 2023 in the Murray Canal in Quinte West.
In September 2023, Dahl was permanently removed as commander. Colonel Leighton James took over the role after replacing the Acting 8 Wing Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Matt Lederle.
