The Wellington Dukes got off to a good start in the opening round of the OJHL playoffs, defeating the Toronto Jr. Canadiens 5-2.
Will Mitchell scored two goals for the Dukes along with two assists.
Cory Jewitt had a goal and an assist and rounding out the scoring for Wellington were Ryan Schaap and Nick Dipaolo.
Goaltender Jack Lisson stopped 34 of he 36 shots he faced. The game was played in front of 625 fans at the Dukedome.
Game two is Sunday night in Toronto starting at 7:15.
