The Trenton Golden Hawks slipped past the Markham Royals 3-2 in overtime.
Thomas Kuipers, Ryan Nichols, and Adam O’Marra scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Golden Hawks got off to a strong start with two unanswered goals in the first period, before the Royals came back with two unanswered goals of their own in the second. After a scoreless third, the teams went into overtime where the Golden Hawks found the back of the net first, and won the game.
The Golden Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, on the road to face the Georgetown Raiders.
