Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue were at the scene of a house fire in Picton Tuesday night.
Firefighters were called out around 10:30 to a residence on Albert Street and remained on scene for several hours.
No injuries were reported and no pets were harmed.
A fire inspector with the department is continuing to investigate to determine the origin and cause of the blaze.
Fire loss is estimated at $500,000.
