An investment in technology by the Belleville Police Service paid off for a couple of men Monday in the east end of the city.
The men, one 33 and the other 55 years of age, had been lost in a wooded swampy area east of Haig Road for several hours and at 9 o’clock in the morning decided to call police.
Officers responded and using a thermal imaging drone located them about 500 metres east of Haig Road.
Paramedics assessed the males who were cold but not injured. They were transported to hospital as a precaution.
