It is just over 250 days until the City of Quinte West and the Bay of Quinte region welcome the best U15 soccer players in Canada.
The male and female players will be coming for the 2024 Canada Soccer Toyota National Championships U15 Cup, taking place October 9 to 14 at Centennial Park in Trenton.
On Wednesday afternoon at council chambers, stakeholders, municipal officials, members of 8 Wing Trenton, along with the Local Organizing Committee, gathered to outline the event.
It is expected to inject hundreds of thousands of dollars into the local economy and bring thousands of people from coast to coast to coast.
Tracey Legault-Davis is part of the Local Organizing Committee and oversaw the bid for the event. She is also with Volunteer and Information Hastings-Prince Edward. She says something of this magnitude cannot run without volunteers.
“We estimate we’ll need between 200 and 250 volunteers to be able to put this on from start to finish.”

Jaclyn Grimmon is the Director of Community Services & Strategic Partnership with the City of Quinte West. She says the city’s website will be where all the details are for the event.
“I will just direct people back to the website for all the details and information about the event and certainly more to come in the coming months.” quintewest.ca/2024soccer
