Motor home stolen
Investigators are looking to the public for information after a motor home was stolen from the city’s east end, Thursday. Officers were called to a residence along Pine Street around 3 p.m. after the owner of a 2005 Ford Model CTV with Ontario licence plate CJSF365 was stolen the previous night.

Collision leads to arrest
A 39-year-old Belleville man was arrested on impaired driving charges after a minivan crashed into the woods near Point Anne, early Friday. Police were called to the area of Doxtator Drive near the intersection of Point Anne Road shortly before 2 a.m. for a report of a single vehicle collision involving a minivan. Officers arrived at the scene and found the vehicle had damaged a street sign and was quite a distance into a wooded area. The driver, who sustained minor injuries and was shaken up, was determined to be intoxicated and arrested. Charged with impaired driving and over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood is Ian Semple, 39, of Belleville. Semple was released from custody with a court date on February 2, 2024 in Belleville.
