A three-goal third period was the difference as the Wellington Dukes knocked off the North York Rangers 4-1 at Lehigh Arena Tuesday night.
Defenceman Logan Sitlani’s first of the year four minutes into the third snapped a 1-1 tie and stood as the game winner. Sitlani also had an assist.
William Mitchell added insurance with his 11th.
Auston Montgomery-Parsons (7th) and Zander Latreille (8th) rounded out scoring for Wellington.
Jack Lisson stopped 35 of 36 shots.
Wellington has won three in a row to move into a second place tie with the Toronto Junior Canadiens in the OJHL’s East Conference.
The Dukes host Pickering on Friday night.
The conference-leading Trenton Golden Hawks take their 15-game point streak across the border tonight (Wed) as they play the Junior Sabres in Buffalo. Trenton remains ranked fifth in the Canadian Junior Hockey League.
