Weapons and drug charges have been laid following a RIDE program stop in The County.
At Highway 62 and Rednersville Road Thursday night, officers talked with a driver.
Further investigation led to a vehicle search and the discovery of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a switchblade.
Fifty-three-year-old Jean Legault of Belleville has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule one substance – methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule one substance – cocaine
- Possession of a schedule one substance – other drugs
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
