The Belleville Senators beat the Rochester Americans 4-2 on Saturday Night at CAA Arena.
Egor Sokolov, Zack Ostapchuk, and Roby Jarventie scored for the Senators.
The Americians managed to get the first goal of the night, with an unanswered first period goal, before the Senators came back swinging in the second to get two of their own. The Americians responded with their second and final goal of the night before the Senators grabbed the game winner close to the end of the frame. The Senators extended their lead with one last goal in the third period, before claiming victory.
Belleville Senators head coach Dave Bell said that the team played very well.
“I thought we were pretty good overall. Our tenacity below the goalie hemmed their defensemen in. We were just hounding pucks and stripping pucks from behind,” said Bell “The guys did a really good job at that, not giving their D any space to join the rush.”
The Sens are back in action on Wednesday, travelling to face the Laval Rocket.
