The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fail to remain collision in Trenton where a pedestrian was struck and injured.
On November 17, 2023, at approximately 7:40 p.m., the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) and Forensic Identification Services (FIS), assisted by Quinte West Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the area of 2nd Dug Hill Road and Appledene Drive, Trenton, for a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian and fleeing the area. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to Toronto for medical treatment.
The vehicle was last seen southbound on 2nd Dug Hill Road and is described as a Black Chevrolet Sedan. Damage to the vehicle occurred, including the removal of the passenger-side mirror.
