The Wellington Dukes demolished the Aurora Tigers 5 to 0 on Friday night at the Duke Dome.
William Mitchell, Connor Hunt, and Cory Jewitt scored for the Dukes while goalkeeper Jack Lisson played a perfect game with 35 saves.
The Dukes started strong with two goals in the first period, and three in the second, before the Tigers managed to stop them from expanding their lead further in the scoreless third. Despite scoring no further goals after the second frame, the Tigers couldn’t get on the board, and the Dukes took the win.
The Dukes are on the road today to face the Stouffville Spirit.
