The City of Belleville says road work will begin at Dundas Street East at the intersection with Herchimer Avenue beginning on Wednesday.
This will result in lane closures and diversions.
The area will remain open to traffic but the city is warning motorists to expect delays and to drive with caution.
Work on the road is expected to be completed early next week.
