Belleville Police have made an arrest in the shooting in downtown Belleville that occurred on Front Street on August 12.
With the help of Project Renewal and Kingston Police, 24-year-old Brandon Alexander of Northbrook was arrested on August 15 in the City of Kingston.
Alexander was held for bail and charged with the following:
- Attempt to Commit Murder using a Restricted Firearm
- Careless use of a Firearm
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Disguise with Intent
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
- Failure to comply with Undertaking (3 counts)
- Possession of a Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order
Belleville Police continue to seek the public’s help locating a second suspect in the shooting.
Twenty-four-year-old Nicholas Baumhour is wanted for attempt to commit murder.
He is described as 6’2″ and 200 lbs and is known to frequent the Quinte and Kingston areas.
Police say if you see or know the whereabouts of Baumhour to not approach him and instead contact the Belleville Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
