Belleville police are asking the public for help with an investigation into an incident involving gunfire in the downtown core on Saturday morning.
Officers responded to an area along the west side of Front Street at 1 a.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting the sounds of gunfire.
There were no injuries reported, and there is no ongoing risk to public safety.
Several specialty units, including the Criminal Investigations Division, Forensic Unit, and Emergency Response Unit were called in to assist with the investigation.
