A large number of bicycles is expected on the roadways in Prince Edward County next week.
The Friends for Life Bike Rally is scheduled to pass through the County on Monday.
This means more than the usual number of bicycles on the road and motorists are asked to take precautions.
The County of Prince Edward is asking that when passing a cyclist, drivers maintain a minimum distance of one metre between their vehicle and the cyclist.
The rally is expected to arrive in the County mid-morning, beginning its route at the Carrying Place Swing Bridge.
After pausing for lunch at the Royal Canadian Legion in Consecon, the bike rally will continue toward the Glenora Ferry, following County Road 1, Tripp Road, Old Belleville Road, Talbot Street, Picton Main Street, Bridge Street and Loyalist Parkway.
