Uride has announced it has raised a total of nearly $8,000 from the Ride for a Reason initiative as part of its ongoing Good Deeds Program.
The initiative took place on July 25 with 10% of fares going to local seniors centres in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta.
Of the $8,000 raised, $500 will be sent to the Quinte Living Centre.
“We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to all the riders who joined us in this endeavour,” founder and CEO of Uride, Cody Ruberto, says in a release.
“Your decision to book a Uride on July 25 has significantly impacted the lives of our senior community members. Together, we have shown that even a small act of kindness can make a tremendous difference.”
