A Trenton retirement residence has made a $2,100 donation to the Care and Share Food Bank.
Seasons Dufferin Centre hosted its annual One Can Make a Difference company-wide food drive.
From July 3 to 14, Seasons Retirement Communities across the country were challenged to collect the most canned and non-perishable food items for their local food bank.
Nationwide, more than than 6,300 cans were collected in addition to donating a combined total of $42,000 to Food Banks Canada, a charitable organization representing the food bank community across Canada.
“The Seasons’ One ‘Can’ Corporate Challenge demonstrates our unwavering dedication to the well-being of seniors in our communities, as we recognize that food insecurity continues to be a pressing issue among older adults,” says Christine Boniface, Interim General Manager at Seasons Dufferin Centre in Trenton. “Contributing to the communities where our residents and team members reside holds paramount significance to us.”
