Members of 8 Wing Trenton’s Deputy Wing Commander Branch welcomed their new Deputy Wing Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Jean-Francois Harvey, and Chief Warrant Officer Robert Lutz during a dual ceremony held at 8 Wing Trenton on Friday.
Lieutenant-Colonel Harvey assumes his position from Lieutenant-Colonel Audrey Lavoie. Born in Quebec City, Lieutenant-Colonel Harvey joined the Canadian Armed Forces as a Logistics Officer with a specialty in Supply Chain Management.
“I am honoured to be chosen as the Deputy Wing Commander of 8 Wing Trenton. I am eager to empower the team to provide the best possible services to the members of 8 Wing,” said Lieutenant-Colonel Harvey. “I am excited to maintain and strengthen the bonds at 8 Wing, fostering a community of support here, so that the Wing can sustain the Royal Canadian Air Force missions around the globe.”
Chief Warrant Officer Lutz assumes his position from Chief Warrant Officer Rob Overton. Born in Sudbury, Chief Warrant Officer Lutz joined the CAF in 1990 as a Navy Electrician. After serving on several different ships he transferred from the navy to the Royal Canadian Air Force as an Electrical Distribution Technician in 2003.
