Quinte West OPP have charged a Mississauga man in a months long human trafficking investigation.
OPP, including members of the Quinte West Crime Unit, commenced an investigation in March of this year.
On June 23, a search warrant was executed at a Peel Region address with the assistance of the OPP Anti Human Trafficking Unit and the Halton Regional Police.
As a result, an arrest was made.
Thirty-three-year-old Michael Bui is charged with:
Procuring of a person under 18 years old – Three counts
Communicating with anyone under 18 for purpose of obtaining sexual services
Possession of child pornography
Trafficking in schedule 1 substance – Cocaine
Trafficking in schedule 3 substance – Other drugs
Knowingly supplying liquor to a person under 19 – Three counts
Distribute cannabis to a person under 18 – Two counts
The accused was released with a court date of August 10.
