The local Catholic school board is pushing back the completion date on renovations at a Belleville elementary school.
Trustees with the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board received an update from staff on numerous capital projects, including St. Joseph Catholic on Bridge Street East.
Ground broke last February (2022) and students were expected to be back in class this fall.
Staff says due to unforeseeable circumstances related to existing site conditions, the completion date has been pushed back to spring 2024. At the time of publishing this article, it has not been clarified what site conditions are causing the delays.
