The Quinte West Under 13 Wolverines have won their first soccer tournament. They defeated Waterloo 4-1 in Ancaster over the weekend. John Korver scored twice in the final game. Gage Madore and Coen Lowry also scored.

The Quinte West Wolverines U13B team entered their first tournament in Ancaster, Ontario. The team fell short their first match against Alliance FC losing 2–1. Gage Madore scored the only goal for the Wolverines during this match.
The second match of the day the Wolverines faced Waterloo. The Wolverines fell short 2–1 in the final minutes. Midfielder Coen Lowry scored the only point of the match.
The Wolverines started Sunday off playing against Guelph. The Wolverines knew entering the third match that they needed to win which would create a three way tie. And the Wolverines didn’t disappoint with their team goal of “never giving up!”
The Quinte West Wolverines just did that. They won 3-0 against Guelph creating a three way tie for the championship game. Goals scored by the following; Coen Lowry (2), and John Korver (1).
Quinte West goal keeper Jayden Polan remained solid between the post coming out with his first shutout of the season!
The U13 Quinte West Wolverines advanced to the championship after breaking the tie breaker rule of the goal deferential eliminating the Alliance FC and Guelph.
Quinte West Wolverines would kick off against the Waterloo U13B squad for the Championship finals on Sunday afternoon. In the first half of the match the Quinte West Wolverines went up 2-0 with goals from; John Korver and Coen Lowry.
Waterloo would successfully score on a direct free kick with approximately eleven minutes of the game remaining. Quinte West player Gage Madore successfully picked off a goal kick from the Waterloo Goal Keeper sliding one pass the Waterloo net minder moving the Quinte West Wolverines up 3-1 in the finals.
However, Quinte West player John Korver wasn’t done finishing off the match with a goal ending the championship final 4-1 for Quinte West Wolverines!
