The official kick off to the pop-ups at West Zwick’s Park in Belleville took place Friday morning.
Members of council and city staff, as well as 11 local businesses, marked the occasion.
“We are very pleased to be opening Pop-ups on the Bay for its fifth season,” said Mayor Neil Ellis at the event.
“West Zwick’s Park is the place to be this summer with all kinds of incredible food and drink vendors, activities and entertainment planned. We would like to thank the Belleville Chamber of Commerce for taking on this new venture through Discover Belleville and can’t wait to see what this year’s Pop-ups season holds.”
Making their return this year are Benji’s Waffle Hut & Beverage Bar, Brick Oven Pizza Truck, Falafel Royale, Gator’s Fries, Lemons, Royal Haveli, The Golden Scoop Ice Cream Shop and Park Play Micro Golf.
Venture Outfitters will also be back again for the summer season once the water warms up.
New this year are Community Bake House and Souvlaki Ville.
The pop-ups will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays to Sundays in June and September, and Wednesday to Sunday from July to August.
