The Quinte West Golden Hawks Under 13s blew out Oshawa 6-0 to win the Ajax/Pickering Spring Thaw hockey tournament.
Rylan Dupre scored a hat trick while Myles Furlotte earned the shutout.

Game 1-
Quinte West Golden Hawks U13 Select Team takes Game 1 vs Ajax Raiders in the Pickering Spring Thaw Tournament.
The score remained 0-0 in the 1st and 2nd periods. The Hawks took flight in the 3rd.
#88 Dupre lit the board up scoring the first goal of the game assisted by #8 Lupton.
#15 Gregory added a goal assisted by defenceman #27 Armstrong.
#9 Haight fired a shot right to the back of the net for goal 3, assisted by #15 Gregory.
#15 Gregory put the 4th goal in for the Hawks assisted by linemate #88 Dupre.
#8 Lupton took a pass from #27 Armstrong to make his mark on the scoreboard with a goal.
Defenceman #27 Armstrong got a hunger on and scored, assisted by #8 Lupton and #87 Heddle.
#29 Lord didn’t disappoint with a shutout. #1 Furlotte stood in for a technical during that time. Shutouts for both Hawks goalies.
