There was a duo of playoff wins for the Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes last night.
The Golden Hawks took a 3-0 lead in the first period and were able to hold on.
They beat the Toronto Jr. Canadiens 3-2 and now lead the series 2-0.
Matt Cato tallied a point in this game, continuing his point streak from the regular season into the post season at 17 games.
The Golden Hawks will head back out on the road to Scotiabank Pond for Game 3 on Sunday night.
Meantime, the Wellington Dukes were able to get the victory over the Haliburton County Huskies to take Game 1 of their series.
The Dukes were able to score three unanswered goals in the third period, including an empty netter, to regain the lead and get the victory.
Lucas Lapalm, Barret Joynt and Jacob Dietz each had two points.
The Dukes head back onto the ice today at the Minden Community Centre.
