Three people have been charged with theft following a shoplifting incident in Quinte West over the weekend.
Around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a business on Dundas Street East, for the report that several people were shoplifting from a store.
Mariana Alexandru, 33 years old, Ramon-Maria Dinu, 25 years old and Bogdan-Ionut Dinu, 34 years old, all from Scarborough, have been charged with theft under $5000.
A further charge has also been laid under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act of operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
All three have April 27 court dates.
