Another worthy non-profit organization has been given a much-needed financial boost from 100 + Women Who Care Quinte.
At the group’s meeting Wednesday night the Heart of Hastings Hospice was the voter’s choice to receive a significant financial donation from 100 + Women.
After the vote the Bereavement Coordinator for Heart of Hastings Hospice Tristan Lindsay said the donation will make a difference.
“We’re very much about whole person care and that includes our family so it’s really going to be beautiful to be able to have family members climb into bed with their loved one and give them that love right up until the end.”
The exact amount of the donation isn’t known yet but a cheque presentation will be made in the near future.
Heart of Hastings Hospice features two beds and is located in Madoc.
