Some extensive work could be done to rehabilitate Meyers Pier if Belleville council approves a proposed capital budget for this year at a meeting later this month.
Monday council will see an overview of the draft budget which includes $750,000 for work on the 120 metre long pier after emergency repairs had to be made last year.
Staff also hopes to replace Meyers Pier’s rescue dock which sustained serious structural damage during the last winter season.
The dock’s replacement would cost $200,000.
Council will hold a special meeting on the capital spending plan February 23.
