Weekends don’t get much better than they did for the Wellington Dukes while capturing five of a possible six points.
A 6-3 win over Trenton Friday night earned Wellington the Hasty P Cup.
That was followed by a 1-1 double overtime tie in Toronto against the OJHL leading Junior Canadiens on Saturday.
Sunday night Wellington embarrassed the Admirals 10-1 in Caledon.
Edward Moskowitz and Luke Strickland scored twice. Lucas LaPalm had a goal and three assists while Ryan Smith added a goal with two assists.
Jacob Vreugdenhil, Matheson Mason, Jared Langdon and Jack-Henry Lages added singles.
The Dukes have six games left in the regular season.
They host the Cobourg Cougars Friday night.
Meanwhile fourth place is on the line in the South-East Conference when the Golden Hawks travel to Cobourg Monday night.
The Cougars have a one point lead and a game in hand on Trenton.
