A popular Quinte West hockey tournament makes its return raising money for a couple of great causes.
The 10th annual Pond Hockey Classic will be held on five outdoor rinks at the Batawa Community Centre February 4 and 5 with proceeds from the event supporting the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation and Wounded Warriors Canada.
This four-on-four event features Canadian Pond Hockey rules and will guarantee three games for each team during the round robin play.
The Adult Tournament is Saturday, February 4 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. There are three divisions to choose from: Competitive, Non-Competitive and Old Timers (35+).
The U11-U14 Youth Tournament is Sunday, February 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The registration deadline is January 27.
