Five “lifters” from the Victory Barbell Club have medaled at the Ontario Junior Weightlifting Championships at Variety Village in Toronto.
Ethan Yuke was a gold medal winner in the 96 kilogram division while Madalyn Tyrer earned gold in the 45 kilo class.
Yuke and Tyrer have both qualified for the 2023 Canadian Junior Championships as well as the Ontario Winter Games in February.
McKenna Vanluven won silver and Jack Manley and Ryker Pigden earned bronze medals in their respective weight classes.
They will also compete in the Ontario Winter Games.
