The Belleville Senators found the perfect way to answer a 3-1 loss in Toronto on Sunday. Namely with a 4-2 win over the North Division-leading Marlies in Toronto last night (Wed).
Antoine Bibeau turned aside 35 shots for the B-Sens as they put the brakes on a mini two-game slide.
Toronto outshot Belleville 37-28. Viktor Lodin, Brennan Saulnier, Angus Crookshank and Jake Luccini scored for the B-Sens who sit in fifth place in the AHL North. However they’re just three points behind second place Rochester.
The Americans fell 5-1 to Syracuse last night.
Belleville now heads to Laval for a double date with the Rocket (Montreal Canadiens) tomorrow and Saturday.
