The Rockford IceHogs defeated the Belleville Senators 8 to 2 during the final game of the Senators current road trip.
The IceHogs took a lightning fast early lead, scoring less than a minute into the game and collecting three goals over the first period before the Senators could get on the board. The IceHogs kept scoring through the second period, pumping their total up to 8 and 0 before the Senators claimed their first goal of the night. While the Senators scored a second time in the third period, the IceHogs kept their lead and took the game.
The Senators return home for their next game on Friday, against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
