Belleville police responded to 214 calls for service over a 72-hour period from 5 a.m. on October 21, 2022 to 5 a.m. on October 24, 2022.
Warrants and Traffic Offences
On October 23, 202, at 10:22 a.m., Belleville police observed a driver of a vehicle known to be wanted by Belleville police. The vehicle attempted to evade police and then the driver attempted to flee on foot. The 37-year-old Belleville resident, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Five counts of operation while prohibited
- Flight from police
- Take a motor vehicle without consent.
The warrants were for the following offences:
- Pointing a firearm
- Obstruct peace officer
- Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Fail to comply with a probation order
The male was held for a show cause hearing on October 24, 2022.
Warrants
On October 23, 2022 at 8:15 p.m., Belleville police were notified of a male wanted on warrants that had left a residence in the east end. At 8:33 p.m., police located the male on Dundas East and he was arrested without incident. As a result, 22-year-old Belleville resident Travis Knapman was arrested on warrants for:
- Assault
- Break, Enter and commit
- Fail to comply with probation. T
The male was held for a show cause hearing on October 24.
