A new BMX Pump Track at West Riverside Park is now open.
Mayor Mitch Panciuk and members of city council took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking Phase 1 of the project on Friday.
The City of Belleville says the project was designed through the Parkland and Recreation Master Plan process.
Transition Bike Parks Inc. started construction on the park in September.
Phase 2 of the project will consist of beginner and advanced skills centres. These will include shelter, utility servicing, lighting, pathways and site amenities.
Phase 3 will involve a risk assessment of the existing bike park and perimeter fencing.
The park is open to the public.
