Belleville police responded to 202 calls for service over the weekend from 5 a.m. on October 8, 2022 to 5 a.m. on October 11, 2022.
Stolen ATV
On October 8, 2022, Belleville Police received a report of a stolen ATV from the north end of the city. The vehicle is described as a red, Polaris Sport 500 with a New York licence plate 47YB04. Warrants
On October 8, 2022, at 11 p.m., Belleville police responded to an alarm at a local business in the north end of the city. On scene, officers observed a male flee on foot. The suspect was caught and identified as 36-year-old Timothy Sharpe of Belleville. Mr. Sharpe had an outstanding warrant before the courts with Belleville police for failing to appear in court. He was taken into custody and held for a show cause hearing on October 9. The accused will appear in court again later in October. No charges were laid in relation to the alarm at the business.
Warrants
On October 9, 2022 at 2 p.m., Belleville police attended a residence in the east end of the city regarding unwanted people. When officers arrived, they identified a female who was wanted for an outstanding warrant for fail to attend court and fail to comply with a court order. The accused, 44-year-old Jacqueline Smith of Belleville was arrested and held for a show cause hearing on October 10. She was released on her own recognizance and will appear in court later in October to answer to the charges.
Assault, Mischief & Cause Disturbance
On October 9, 2022 at 5 p.m., Belleville police were called to a church in the east end of the city regarding a disturbance. The investigation revealed that a 45-year-old female had ripped a phone off a wall and thrown a chair at an employee of the church. Police identified the accused as Laurie Mason of Belleville. Ms. Mason was taken into custody and charged with assault with a weapon, mischief under $5000, cause disturbance and breach of probation. She was held for a show cause hearing on October 10, 2022 and was remanded into custody. The accused will appear in court on October 11, 2022, to answer to the charges.
Warrant
On October 10, 2022 at 5:30 p.m., Belleville police attended a west end business regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, police observed a group of males arguing in front of the business. The investigation revealed that a male involved had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Twenty-five-year-old, Bradley Hamilton-Proud of Belleville was arrested on the warrant. The accused is facing charges including theft under $5000, fail to comply with probation and fail to attend court. The accused was later released on his own recognizance and will appear in court on November 10, 2022 to answer to the charges.
