On Friday, October 7, 2022 at approximately 9:30 a.m., emergency services responded to a report of a residential structure fire on Pine Hill Crescent. On arrival, the home was found fully engulfed. Belleville Fire Department extinguished the blaze and upon entry located a deceased person.
Members of the Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigations and Forensic Identification Units are assisting the Ontario Fire Marshal and the Coroner in this investigation. The identify of the victim has not been confirmed and an autopsy will be completed in Toronto in the following days.
