One person has been charged after shots were fired at a home in Marmora.
Central Hastings OPP were called to a residence on Lajoie Road at around 5:30 in the morning on Sunday.
Police had received several weapons complaints, with complainants also advising that they had heard gunshots go off in the area.
No injuries were reported.
With the help of OPP’s Emergency Response team and OPP’s Canine Unit, a suspect was located before fleeing the scene.
Twenty-five-year-old Damian Shelley-Gaston of Deseronto faces the following charges:
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of a Loaded or Restricted Firearm – two counts
- Possession of Firearm/Ammunition
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
- Careless Use of a Firearm
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Possession of Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine – two counts
The accused was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Thursday.
