The rain in our region may be tapering off but the province is set to enter its first real widespread heat wave of the summer.
Environment Canada is issuing heat warnings for most of the province including the Quinte area.
Hot and humid conditions are expected Tuesday and Wednesday with daytime highs hovering around 30 C and humidex values in the upper 30s.
The nights won’t bring much relief with lows of only about 20 C forecast.
Slightly cooler temperatures are expected in this region on Thursday.
At this point, five straight days of above 29 C are forecasted for Toronto starting Tuesday.
