It was 2011 when Todd Smith was first elected to Queen’s Park.
He is going back there for a fourth term, after his reelection Thursday evening.
Smith collected just under 50% of the votes cast in the Bay of Quinte riding.
He says hard work is the key to serving those in your riding.
“Most people in the Bay of Quinte, I’ve been able to get to know over the last eleven years. They’ve realized that I’m out there every day working hard for them. Tawnya (wife) will always joke, she says that if I decide to leave you tomorrow, I’m still going to vote for you because you’re the hardest working person I know.”

Prince Edward County resident and NDP candidate Alison Kelly finished second and says it was a great journey.
“It’s definitely been a fantastic experience. It’s not a result I can say that I’m content with. As a whole I’m so proud of the team and I’m so proud of everything we were able to accomplish.”

Belleville’s Emilie Leneveu finished in third place and says she hopes others get involved in the process.
“I’m willing to say it’s the most rewarding experience I’ve ever had the pleasure to journey on. I would definitely encourage youth and anyone who doesn’t see themselves in the legislature, to put their name forward. “
