United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is pleased to announce Hilary Murphy, Partner – TaskForce Engineering Inc. as your 2022 Campaign Chair.
Last year’s campaign, chaired by Inspector Sheri Meeks of the Belleville Police Service raised approximately $2,017,000 for community & social service programming; the official goal for 2022 will be announced at the campaign launch on September 14th.
“Hilary was a member of United Way’s campaign cabinet for both 2020 and 2021 and is an active member of Women United™” states Brandi Hodge, Executive Director. “We are so excited to work with Hilary in this capacity – she is passionate about the community she was born and raised in and she’s willing to work hard to make sure it’s as strong as it can be”.
Murphy joined the TaskForce Engineering team in 2005, 3 years after graduating from University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Structural). In March 2015 she became a Partner. “I accepted the position of campaign chair because I know that the services that United Way funded agencies provide to the community are needed and more important than ever before” she says. “As we start to move beyond the initial impacts of the pandemic, and adjust to our new normal, where the cost of day-to-day living has increased significantly, there will be more people finding themselves in need of these supports to provide for themselves and their families. As a community, it is important that we come together and support one another, and supporting United Way is an easy place to start”.
Currently, United Way funds 52 agencies in Hastings & Prince Edward.
