Kramp spoke to Quinte News about the most important things in his life.
“There’s different priorities in life. Mine happen to be faith, family, and friends. When all of that comes together, it becomes a very, very powerful force.”
He says without it, he could not have ventured into politics at any level.
“With that, it’s really given me the grounding and the inner support to be able to try to work on behalf of all other people.”
He was asked about his more cherished pieces of legislation that he was able to help push forward. He says with the help of the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus, the federal government was able to help improve internet in the region.
“I took the federal lead on that as a member. Got tremendous cooperation from the Prime Minister (Harper) and the Industry Minister John Baird. They backed me fully and with that, we were able to break some barriers on that.”

He says another piece of legislation was one of his last, food literacy.
“Improper diet costs Ontarians alone billions of dollars in health care. We used to have the old Home Economics and everything like that, we can’t regress to that. But I was able to get mandatory food literacy brought back into the Ontario curriculum in grades one to nine and up to 12.
He says over the next few years he is excited to have family be first and foremost. Kramp says in politics, they can sometimes take the back burner. He says enjoying them and the fruits of labour is going to be a wonderful feeling.
