Controversial Independent Member of Provincial Parliament Randy Hillier is in Ottawa Monday but it won’t be to protest or tour the Parliament buildings.
According to the Toronto Sun, Hillier is turning himself in to Ottawa Police on charges laid during the recent three week long trucker protest on Parliament Hill.
The charges are said to be numerous and serious and could mean prison time if convicted.
Hillier, who represents Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston riding, has been an MPP for 15 years and recently announced he would not seek reelection.
