There will be a new political party on the ballot in the June provincial election.
Friday well-known local politician Derek Sloan announced he will run for the Ontario Party in Hastings-Lennox and Addington riding.
Sloan created the party in the fall of last year and is its leader.
On the Ontario Party website Sloan says he’ll never stop fighting for freedom, family, and faith.
Sloan was first elected as an MP for the Conservatives and ran for its leadership but was removed from the party for controversial statements and became an Independent MP, eventually losing the last federal election out west in the Banff-Airdrie riding.
