Quinte West emergency crews were called to Trenton-Frankford Road in the Batawa area Thursday afternoon.
Around 2:15 p.m., crews responded to reports of a body in the Trent River.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen confirms a body was pulled from the water at Dam 4.
Trent Severn employees had to shut parts of the water flow off to enable firefighters to extricate the body.
No other details are available.
Quinte West OPP have taken over the investigation.
