The riding of Hastings, Lennox and Addington now has its Liberal Party candidate for this year’s provincial election.
In a press release Thursday representatives of the party announced that Ted Darby will stand for the Liberals in Hastings, Lennox and Addington.
According to the press release Darby is a health care executive, municipal consultant and health care administration professor.
He has a Master of Health Science degree from the University of Toronto and has held executive positions at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, North York General, Mattawa General Hospital and most recently held the position of joint Vice President for Providence Care in the Kingston Health Sciences Centre.
He also has experience as a volunteer firefighter in both King and Stone Mills Townships and is a municipal consultant for fire master plans for multiple municipalities.
Darby currently teaches graduate courses in health care leadership, operations and quality at St. Lawrence College in Kingston.
