On December 14, 2021, Belleville police were called to a Church Street address for reports of a male throwing a bottle at a building which exploded and caused a minor fire.
The fire was extinguished by individuals at the address.
The male suspect left the area and was located on Pinnacle Street by police.
As a result of investigation, a 36-year-old male was charged with multiple criminal offences including arson, mischief under $5000, weapons dangerous, fail to comply with an undertaking and fail to comply with a probation order.
The male was held for a show cause hearing on December 15, 2021.
Damage to the building was minor and there are no reports of any injuries.
